Darrell Kratzer, AIA
Principal
Darrell Kratzer, one of the founding principals of Buell Kratzer Powell LTD (BKP), is personally dedicated to the success of each of the firm's
projects. He is skilled at assembling project partnerships, collaborations and teams uniquely suited for each project. Mr. Kratzer's portfolio
features new and adaptive reuse projects for diverse clients and building types, including higher education, public projects, commercial
development and urban redevelopment. He works closely with the owner to define the vision and concept appropriate to each project
and guide its progress to successful fruition. In addition, Mr. Kratzer serves as the firm's president.
Before founding BKP, Mr. Kratzer served as a project executive for the international construction management firm Bovis, Inc. In this role, he
provided project leadership for the design, estimating and construction teams. Mr. Kratzer came to Bovis from the architectural partnership of
Cope Linder Associates where he was a partner and director of the firm's design studio.
Mr. Kratzer holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, cum laude, from The
Pennsylvania State University.
